Leadership Development

We combine social justice curriculum with structured opportunities to gain hands-on community organizing skills.

Fellowship

Our sister organization, the Washington Bus Education Fund, hosts the Bus Summer Fellowship program. The Fellowship is a ten-week political boot camp where you’ll be trained in political and community organizing.

High School Engagement

We partner with high schools to promote civics education. Students connect their values to electoral action and voter registration, and learn skills to create change on issues in their community.

Voter Mobilization

Voter Registration

Registering to vote is a critical step of engaging in the political process. That’s why we register thousands of voters each year on their campus and at events across the state.

Voter Education

When it comes time to vote, we want to make sure that young folks know where and when to turn in their ballot and have the information they need to make educated decisions.

Voter Turnout

Voter registration and education are most effective if folks turnout to vote! That’s why we work to make voting as accessible as possible, both on an individual and policy level.

Policy

We support policy for a more just and fair Washington. We focus on improving access to the democratic process and ensure young people’s issues are prioritized by policy makers.

Issue Organizing

We educate the public about local initiatives, organize our community, and get out the vote for the biggest issues of our time. As a youth-driven organization, we take our lead from you. That means our priority issues are largely organized around the Bus Youth Agenda, a survey of the top issues facing our community.

Legislative Advocacy

Our goals are advancing justice and democracy access at the state level through good policy, and providing a hands-on experience for youth to learn about the inner workings of government and how to advocate for their beliefs.
