Who's excited for this year's legislative session? Who's excited for this year's legislative session? 🎉 We're excited to announce the legislative buckets that the Bus will be focusing on for 2024! Our priorities this season: 🎮 Democracy Done Right 📚 Pre-K to BA, Slay 🍃 Tax the Rich, Fund the People 💥 Let Youth Thrive Keep an eye out for updates on bills we're working on as well as opportunities to take action and share your thoughts with (b)us on the issues you care about. ...and if you're interested in a little secret on *how* to stay plugged in, we're going to start meeting every week for a little drop in session to talk about how things work and what you can do at every stage in the legislative process -- and don't worry, it's low pressure and via zoom! As part of our 2024 advocacy, the Washington Bus is proud to host a party at the State Capitol where young people will take direct action in speaking to their legislators about the issues they care most about, and then let loose in the Capitol grounds with an afternoon of performances and live music. Participants will be provided transportation, food, and training! It'll be happening in 10 days!
